Blogging is Dead

At least it is on this site. In place of this blog, come join me on Dailymile.com. I sent some of you invitations, if I missed you let me know and I'll send you one too.

Hamilton Lakes

I was doing laps at Hamilton Lakes last night and had to stop to take this photo. Hard to believe that's just two miles from the house.

I Haven't Abandoned This Site, Yet...

I was checking out a couple of blogs today, and since I haven't been posting much of anything lately, I thought you could waste a little time at these sites.

Landen has moved to Boston and I'm sure he's enjoying Bean Town, all except the cold weather. I'm going to miss riding with him, it was always a challenge.
Check out what he's up to: LandenAcebo.blogspot.com

Today I was reading some local news at digtriad.com and found Greg Kerr's blog. He's always talking about cycling and local events. Nobody's commenting though. I think Greg could use some of Eddie's wit and Brian's unusual use of the English language on his blog.

On another note, there's a ride to Pilot Mountain this Saturday, leaving from Paceline in Winston. The ride leaves at 8:30 and it's about 55 miles. Last thing I heard is that Mark Hekman is leading the ride, so I think I'm going to take advantage of the chance to ride with him. Paceline is serving lunch after the ride, and it's all free.

Looks Like a Washout

This is shaping up to be a really disappointing weekend. I thought we were going to get at least one good day, but it's starting to look like rain on Sunday now.  It's becoming impossible to log any saddle time with the daylight fading and all the rain. Guess it's time to get the damn trainer out.

Lance is going to be on Letterman tonight. Since we won't be riding in the morning you can stay up and see what he has to say about racing next year.

Eddie's been tight-lipped about his weekend at the beach. I think he may not remember anything. What do you have to say for yourself, Edward?

Lance Coming Back???

Certainly by now everyone has read the Lance comeback stories from VeloNews.com:

Assuming he does come back, I can't imagine that he'd be ready to contend for the GC in the Tour next year. At the same time I can't see him riding in a support role on any team. Can you imagine Lance heading back to the team car for bottles? What if Levi crashed and messed up his bike, would Lance hand his over?

Pez Cycling News Visits Ventoux

For the record, Brian and I didn't stop at all on the first two climbs and only made a brief stop at Chalet Reynard on the third because we were out of water. Take that Pez!

Ashly Needs Your Help (and so do I)

So Ashly committed to this charity ride in Montana, but she needs to raise about 4 grand to do it. Any help? Click Here to Donate

Here's the other situation: I haven't ridden the Cervelo in two months now, and I don't really have a desire to ride it. I'm considering putting it up for sale, but I'm just not sure if I should. I certainly don't need it, the Seven is more bike than I deserve. But the R3 is an amazing bike. What should I do? Let me know by voting in the poll to the right.
