2008 is almost here and I think we should all declare our goals for the next year, that way we can hold each other to those goals. Maybe we can even impose penalties for not achieving a goal. I'm open to suggestions. So, post your goals here and we'll help each other (through taunting and abusive language) achieve our 2008 goals. I'll start...
1) Weigh 170 lbs. (or less) by June 14
2) Climb all three ascents of Mont Ventoux in one day, with 8 hours or less of ride time
3) Compete in at least one time trial event
4) Finish with Ray in Chattanooga, even if he does pass a car at mile 95

Brian, where does work and cougar hunting fall on your list of goals?
Yes..I do need to add to my list. Work only when needed...and go to at lest on cougar hunt on wen. night at the vt. I think you should add this to your list as well. I think I'll need a wing man.
Jesus, Brian! A little overzealous? I can't (won't) keep up with all that crap. Maybe you can drop some of those lofty goals like 'shave my legs more'.
Eddie - one goal...
DEFEND THE GOLD!!
Here's my list- I'll keep it shorter than Brians.
1. Lose 15lbs by 3-state, 3-mtn.
2. Complete 1 NC mountain ride- Blue Ridge Brutal, Assault on Mt Mitchell, etc.
3. Compete in 1 time trial.
4. Continue NOT shaving my legs.
5. Challenge Eddie for the gold!!
Gary.
Eddie told me he has one goal but he hasn't bothered to post it. He said that this year he will not be called a wanker. He didn't say that he wouldn't be a wanker, he just wouldn't be called one.
Sounds like there's going to be a good battle for the gold in the state games this year. I hate that I'm not going to be here to see this battle.
OK it's time for my list:
1. Do not Wanker out of a ride that I said I would attend.
2. Ride more than Gary but less than Ray.
3. Be better at cornering than Alex and better at telling the story.
4. Get some sexy glasses like Eric and find out the deal with the stripper shoes.
5. Find a nice lunch lady for Brian and a cougar for CJ.
6. Finally DEFEND THE GOLD.
I have lofty goals for this year:
1. Ride Faster
2. Eat Healthy
3. Look better on and off the bike.
Oh Crap, none of that is possible!
I'll think of something for next year.
Well if CJ is not going to post by now I think its fare game for us to help him out.
i have not posted anything because i don't have the lofty goals you guys have. but if you want some here you go.
1. participate in 3 sprint triathlons.
2. try a time trial.
3. have fun.
so there you have it. i know it's not much but it's realistic.
1. OK CJ but what about the trees and clouds? Are you going to enjoy them more this year?
2. Cougars? No mention of a goal, what's that about?
3. Have fun at what? How are we going to support and measure the goal? Eric was going to make sure that Brian reaches his lofty goal of shaving his legs more. Not sure how, but to each their own.
well, eddie. the have fun goal is very broad. it does include taking in the landscape and enjoying the clouds. as well as just having fun on the ride. having fun competing. and generally not taking it to serious. as for the cougars you mention. the girl friend might not appreciate it as much as you guys.
I really just want to be a lot more like eddy..saw him at the gym last night and everyone around him was just in awe...Thats what I want!
